North Carolina: Cabarrus County - Jay M. Robinson High School MONDO Track & Field Facility

Cabarrus County, North Carolina is home to a state-of-the-art facility, making it a go-to destination for track & field excellence. Located on the campus of Jay M. Robinson High School in Concord, the venue features a MONDO Super X 720 Track and Field surface, the most durable practice competition track system in the world and the recommended surface of World Athletics (formerly known as IAAF) and Paralympics.
 

MONDO is the global leader in the track and field market, with more than 1,100 of the company’s track surfaces installed worldwide. Hundreds of prestigious track and field competitions have been held on MONDO track surfaces around the world and in the U.S., including numerous NCAA Division I, II and III, junior college and USATF championships. In fact, more than 300 world records have been set on MONDO tracks alone.

Pennsylvania: Butler County - SRU Softball Stadium

Slippery Rock University (SRU) celebrated the reopening of Kasnevich Field after the 2004 stadium underwent massive renovations, including an all-turf field surface, new dugouts, new bleachers, a 500-square foot climate-controlled press box, LED stadium lights and a new building for restrooms and a concession stand.
 

The addition of LED lights make the facility available for evening games for the first time in SRU history. It is now considered a competitive venue among Division II softball facilities across the country. It has a capacity of 500 and has been host to high school regional and state playoff events, camps, clinics and other tournaments.
 

The field’s name honors a special person in the SRU athletic community, Jan Kasnevich, who coached both softball and field hockey during her time as an educator at Slippery Rock. The field is one part of the SRU Softball complex, which also includes The Rock’s locker room, coaches’ offices and a batting cage facility.
