About Effingham Convention & Visitors Bureau

Located in Central Illinois where Interstate 57 meets Interstate 70, the vibrant community of Effingham awaits you. With our state-of-the-art facilities, 17 hotels, 65 restaurants and numerous attractions, we are well-equipped and ready to help you plan and put on your sporting event. Whether you need a venue to facilitate your tournament, a host hotel to accommodate both your teams and your fans or recommendations on the best places to dine, explore or play, our staff is available to connect you with the right resources to ensure your event is a success!

Effingham boasts an array of options for athletes and their families both on the field and off… For example, our newest facility, The Richard E. Workman Sports and Wellness Complex, provides several avenues of recreation, including a 15,500-square-foot maple hardwood court, an indoor track, an aquatic center and a fitness center. Effingham also offers plenty of other options for sporting events, outside of our Sports Complex, including several parks run by the Effingham Park District, which feature lighted softball and baseball diamonds, tennis courts, soccer fields, disc golf courses and cross-country courses.

The City of Effingham Convention & Visitors Bureau offers an array of complementary services including assistance in site selection, media assistance and, of course, a plethora of visitor information. Contact us today to plan your next event right here at the Crossroads of America.
