There's a reason teams from across the country keep coming back to Chesterfield. Whether you're here for a weekend tournament, a championship run or a week-long showcase, you'll find first-class facilities, family-friendly attractions and plenty to do between games.
From first pitch to the final whistle, here's your game plan for making the most of your time in Chesterfield.
Start at the Chesterfield First Community Athletic Complex
The Chesterfield First Community Athletic Complex isn't just another sports venue—it's one of the Midwest's premier tournament destinations.
Spanning 176 acres, Chesterfield’s complex is built to host competition at every level with:
- 21 baseball and softball diamonds
- 10 multi-purpose fields for soccer, flag football, lacrosse and ultimate
- Six practice baseball and softball fields
- Six sand volleyball courts
- Four concession buildings
- Two playgrounds
- Four spacious parking lots

From youth leagues and showcase events to adult tournaments, camps and clinics, the complex stays busy year-round.
One of the complex’s standout features is the Catch 22 Miracle Field, a specially designed Mondo-surface baseball field that gives athletes with disabilities the opportunity to experience the game in an inclusive environment. Following a 2024 renovation, the field now features a new playing surface, upgraded scoreboard and an adjacent playground for families to enjoy.
Rain? Keep Playing.
Tournament weekends don't always come with perfect weather—but Chesterfield is ready.
Sixteen of the complex's 21 baseball and softball fields feature synthetic infields that drain quickly and help keep games on schedule. Every synthetic field is fully lighted, allowing tournaments to continue well into the evening.
Less waiting. More playing.

Home of Elite Competition
Chesterfield attracts some of the biggest names in youth sports.
In 2023, the City of Chesterfield partnered with Perfect Game, one of the world's leading youth baseball and softball organizations. Today, the complex hosts high-level tournaments featuring elite athletes and college-bound talent from across the country.
The Chesterfield Baseball and Softball Association (CBSA) also calls Chesterfield home. Serving more than 8,000 players each year, CBSA has become one of the area's largest and most respected baseball and softball organizations.
Soccer players know the fields well, too. Through its partnership with the Ascension Athletic Association, Chesterfield serves as the home venue for Ascension Soccer, with professionally maintained fields throughout the season.
Between Games: Explore Chesterfield
Tournament schedules usually include a little downtime—and Chesterfield offers plenty of ways to spend it.

Stretch Your Legs
Need a break from the ballpark?
Chesterfield features nearly 600 acres of parks and trails, making it easy to go for a walk, ride a bike, or simply relax before your next game.
One local favorite is Central Park, a 39-acre destination with walking trails, playgrounds, beautiful green space, an aquatic center and an outdoor amphitheater.
Other parks worth exploring include River's Edge Park, Logan Park, W.F. Dierberg Meditation Park and Veterans Honor Park.
Beat the Heat
When temperatures climb, head to the Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center.
Float the lazy river, race down water slides, swim in the competition pool, or let younger kids cool off in the interactive AquaPlay splash area.
It's the perfect way to recover after a long day on the field.

Catch a Concert
If your tournament schedule leaves you with a free evening, check out the Chesterfield Amphitheater.
Known for its beautiful setting and outstanding acoustics, the amphitheater has welcomed artists including Zach Bryan, Billy Currington, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, Whiskey Myers, Gladys Knight, Blues Traveler, Phoebe Bridgers, Kenny Loggins and many more.
Whether it's a free community show or a nationally touring concert, it's a great way to cap off the day.
Eat. Play. Repeat.

Stay Minutes from the Fields
One of Chesterfield's biggest advantages is convenience.
With 16 hotels located just minutes from the complex, families spend less time driving and more time enjoying the tournament experience.

Extend Your Stay
If you're turning your tournament into a family getaway, Chesterfield is the perfect home base.
Located just 25 minutes west of downtown St. Louis along Interstate 64/U.S. Highway 40, you'll be close to some of Missouri's most popular attractions, including Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey, St. Louis CITY SC soccer, the Gateway Arch, Saint Louis Zoo, Saint Louis Science Center, Six Flags St. Louis and much more.
