Wenatchee Valley, Washington, has released its schedule of events for the coming month. Here are some standouts:
The North Central Washington Volleyball Club will be holding its annual Fire & Rain Volleyball tournament on February 10th and 11th at several gymnasiums around the valley. The NCWVBC 18U Gold team won the Championship at the recently held Lights Out Tournament and the 16U Gold team finished 2nd out of 17 teams.
One of the most outstanding events of the year is Rails & Ales which is put on by Mission Ridge and Badger Mountain Brewery. Orondo Street in Wenatchee will be closed and Mission Ridge will be using their snow making technology to cover a man-made ramp while high caliber snowboarders shred and show off their skills as the crowd enjoys locally brewed beers from the beer garden outside of Badger Mountain Brewery.
Town Toyota Center will again be the sight of the Wenatchee Valley Sportsmens Show. This has become a marquee event for the Arena as outdoor enthusiasts flood through the doors in search of give-a-ways, door prizes, the newest outdoor gear, guides and especially the Lunky Lake where kids can fish for free. The Sportsmen Show goes from Friday, February 23rd through Sunday, February 25th.
The Wenatchee Wild are celebrating its 10th season in existence this season and are holding a celebration at Town Toyota Center on Saturday, February 17th as they take on the Trail Smoke Eaters. The Wild are currently 33-13-3-1 on the season and have secured home playoffs for at least the first round. This will be the Wild's 10th straight season in the playoffs as they have never missed the post season in all their years in the North American Hockey League or in the British Columbia Hockey League.
