The facility was developed through a partnership between the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cabarrus County Government and Cabarrus County Schools. 


Funded by tourism-generated occupancy taxes, the project reflects the destination's ongoing commitment to attracting premier sporting events and enhancing the visitor experience.
 

Beyond track and field, Cabarrus County offers an impressive collection of venues capable of accommodating a wide range of traditional and non-traditional sporting events. 


Conveniently situated along Interstate 85, the destination provides easy access for teams, spectators and event organizers traveling from across the Southeast and beyond.
 

The area's sports infrastructure includes multiple turf and grass field complexes, indoor court facilities, golf courses, tennis courts, cross-country courses, disc golf venues and a versatile arena capable of hosting competitions, tournaments and special events. 
 

Many of the county's turf fields feature cutting-edge amenities, including lighting systems and T°Cool® evaporative cooling technology designed to improve playing conditions during warmer months. For indoor sports, Kemba Walker Sports Academy serves as a premier training and competition facility dedicated to developing the next generation of athletes. 


Located in historic Downtown Concord, the venue offers 47,000 square feet of multi-use court space, ideal for basketball, volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics, cheerleading and numerous other indoor events throughout the year.
 

Outdoor enthusiasts will find no shortage of options at Frank Liske Park, a scenic 238-acre destination featuring an 11-field soccer complex, four lighted softball fields, 12 lighted pickleball courts, an 18-hole disc golf course, a nine-acre fishing and paddle boating lake and an 18-hole miniature golf course.
