Today, the city of Saraland (AL) hosts the groundbreaking ceremony for “The Land” – the city's new sports and recreation complex, which will feature cutting-edge sports fields, hard courts, multi-purpose event spaces, family entertainment center and numerous amenities for various sports and recreational activities. Officials from Saraland, Chambless King, KemperSports Venues and others will be on hand to give remarks and to celebrate the start of construction for their new state-of-the-art facility.

Once complete, The Land will include 78,000 square feet indoor recreation center which will include four regulation-size basketball courts and eight regulation-size collegiate volleyball courts; three outdoor tennis courts; six outdoor pickleball courts; three beach volleyball courts; disc golf course; nature trail; and an outdoor walking path connecting the indoor recreation center track to the outdoor facilities.
