Welcome to PNW Sports! Snohomish County, Washington, rests between the sparkling blue waters of Puget Sound, the rugged, snow-capped peaks of the Cascade Mountains and is about 30 miles north of Seattle’s Space Needle and 115 miles south of Vancouver, British Columbia.
“The Sports Commission ... has really helped guide us with promotion, tourism funding, volunteers and connecting with community leaders to help execute our events,” wrote Jason Waltman, STARS Unlimited tournament director. “Their impact is evident on many levels with community building, economic support and helping groups make a larger impact with their involvement!”
Below are a few reasons why you should host your next sports event in our backyard:
Several Premier Facilities — From disc golf at Kayak Point Disc Golf Resort (Stanwood) to soccer at Stocker Fields (Snohomish), to swimming, cycling and running at Lake Tye (Monroe) and North Cove (Lake Stevens) parks and baseball, softball and lacrosse at Meadowdale Playfields (Lynnwood) and Phil Johnson Ballfields (Everett), if you have a sports event in mind, we’ll help you find the space.
Other top-notch facilities include Angel Of The Winds Arena (Everett), Walt Price Fitness Center (Everett), Lynnwood Event Center and Evergreen State Fair Park (Monroe).
Easy Traveling Experience — Seattle Paine Field International Airport in Everett is a convenient gateway to the heart of Snohomish County. With significantly shorter lines and a more relaxed atmosphere compared to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Paine Field gives you a stress-free travel experience. Serviced by Alaska Airlines, you can land directly into Everett after coming from Honolulu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco and other common destinations.
Transportation At Your Fingertips — After flying into Snohomish County, you can also hop on the Link light rail in Lynnwood and be to downtown Seattle in minutes.

Plenty Of Fun & Games — When you’re decompressing from the sports event, there’s several unique attractions nearby.
Boeing Future of Flight (Mukilteo) takes you back in history to 1967 when the first production workers arrived at the Everett site to begin manufacturing the 747 airplane. To date, the location has expanded to become the largest manufacturing building in the world by volume, and it also produces the 767, 777 and 787. Take a factory tour, view the studio, gallery and sky deck and purchase some souvenirs at the store.
You can also try the Escapology Escape Rooms (Lynnwood). With Scooby-Doo, Batman, Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express and other themes, you’ll have plenty of unique missions, puzzles and clues to challenge the family.
Arena Sports (Mill Creek) and Dave and Buster’s (Lynnwood) both provide family-entertainment arcade games. Bogey’s Indoor Golf (Arlington) and the Back9 Parlor (Lynnwood) provide state-of-the-art simulators, and there’s also more than 20 golf courses nestled around the county. High Trek Adventures (Everett) is also an exciting, family-fun choice with ziplining, laser tag, mini golf, wall climbing and axe throwing.
Do you collect Funko Pops? The headquarters are located in downtown Everett, waiting for you to stop by and add to your collection.
Overall, you’ll be sure to find something that’s new and exciting for the family. And if outdoor and indoor sports activities aren’t your vibe that day, you can shop at the Seattle Premium Outlets (Tulalip/Marysville) and the Alderwood Mall (Lynnwood). Snohomish County is also home to Angel Of The Winds Casino Resort (Arlington) and Tulalip Resort Casino (Marysville) for wining, dining and gambling.
