The Ballpark at League City (formerly known as Big League Dreams), is owned and operated by City of League City. It is a premier, multi-purpose sportsplex that spans 35 acres and is designed to provide an exceptional experience for athletes and visitors of all ages.
The venue can handle everything from sports competitions to corporate events, business meetings and more. Its state-of-the-art amenities and well-maintained fields provide the perfect venue for youth and adult baseball and softball competitions as well as other sporting events.
The Ballpark’s six outdoor baseball/softball fields are scaled-down replicas of famous Major League Baseball diamonds: the old Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, Crosley Field, Sportsman’s Field and Ebbets Field.
All have sunken dugouts, themed walls and stadium lighting and can accommodate a wide variety of participants from youth to adult athletes. In addition to the fields is a 20,000-square-foot indoor pavilion that can be used for cheer and dance competitions and has an event capacity of 800 guests.
“What sets The Ballpark at League City apart is our unbeatable combination of location, flexibility, and service. Perfectly positioned between Houston and Galveston, and just 20 minutes from Hobby Airport, we’re easily accessible for regional and national events,” says Stephanie Polk, Convention & Visitors Bureau Manager, City of League City. “Whether you’re planning a tournament, corporate gathering or community celebration, our 35-acre, amenity-rich venue and dedicated team make it easy to turn any vision into reality.”

An Outstanding Sports Facility
One of the key advantages of hosting a sporting event at The Ballpark at League City is the flexibility of the venue. Here you’ll find six top-tier baseball and softball fields, each with about with 200 stadium-style seats that offer excellent views.
All fields are equipped with sunken dugouts, themed walls, digital scoreboards, stadium seating, infield turf and lighting, all of which combine to provide the ambiance of a professional game. There are also two multi-purpose fields and an outdoor soccer field that can accommodate a broad range of participants, from youth leagues to adult tournaments, as well as community events.
Another highlight of the facility is its versatile 20,000-square-foot indoor Sports and Events Pavilion, an air-conditioned space that can be used for soccer, futsal and roller hockey, and is also ideal for cheer and dance competitions. Additionally, it can accommodate a range of special gatherings such as company picnics, parties, business meetings and luncheons, and more.
Visitors can also enjoy a covered kids’ play area, four slow-pitch and four baseball batting cages, a sand volleyball court, two Stadium Club restaurants and bars, as well as a merchandise store. In addition, the League City Skate Park is located just outside the main gates. With a capacity of up to 800 guests, The Ballpark at League City is a community hub and a first-choice venue for sports, leisure and celebration.
“We pride ourselves on being one of the very few places where spectators can watch the entirety of a baseball or fastpitch game from inside one of our two onsite restaurants, complete with panoramic views of every field, regardless of the weather outside,” says Aron Genereau, General Manager of The Ballpark at League City. “Among our many recent upgrades to our facility, we have equipped The Ballpark with brand new, state-of-the-art LED lighting.”
He adds, “We have placed an emphasis on digital advertising both inside our restaurants as well as on our fields of play via our new digital scoreboards. These are great sources of advertising for our local, regional and national sponsors and partners.”

This year’s Spiderz Mega Draft tournament, held this past June, featured 78 draft teams playing a total of 245 games over four days, and drew a daily average of 3,000 people to The Ballpark. About 60 percent of the visitors were from out of town, resulting in a noticeable economic impact for the city and surrounding area, according to Genereau. He also notes that the Spiderz tournament has been so successful that The Ballpark is now slated to host the event for the third year in a row, from March 26-29, 2026.
“A special thanks to Aron Genereau and his entire staff at The Ballpark of League City for being the best hosts in the world,” exclaims Ed Alf, Tournament President, Spiderz Mega Draft Softball League. “They went over and beyond to show our crowd what League City is about and to make sure we had a great experience this year.”
