Bid On This: ITA Division III Women’s National Team Indoor Championships

Want to serve up college tennis and set the stage for return visits? The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is welcoming bids for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 ITA Division III Women’s National Team Indoor Championships. 

Interested destinations, venues or hosting organizations can bid to host events taking place in one, two or all three years.

The tournament field for each gender will consist of 8 teams – the host institution team and 7 teams selected according to the final ITA Tennis Rankings Sponsored by Tennis Point.

Necessary Information

All bids should include a detailed description of facilities, host hotel information, transportation options, support resources available from the host organization, volunteer information, a media plan and a hospitality plan for players coaches and official staff, as well as for any sponsors or VIPs.

Potential hosts will be responsible for securing a tournament director as well as local sponsorship for the event. (Detailed information of sponsorship needs and requirements are included in the bid document).

Each prospective host will be notified directly and in advance by the ITA office prior to an official announcement of championship hosts by the ITA office. Bids are awarded in principle pending the successful negotiation/resolution of any exceptions declared in bid documents.

Format of Play

All eight participating teams will be guaranteed three dual matches during the event, one each day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each dual match begins with three doubles matches followed by six singles matches. Friday and Saturday matches will play to completion (regardless of clinch), while Sunday matches will play to clinch due to travel. The ITA Division III Operating Committee holds the authority to revise matches playing to completion or clinch.
