Carl Schmits

Carl Schmits serves as Chief Technical Officer at USA Pickleball and is the chair of the Equipment and Evaluation Committee (EEC), overseeing the definition, design and implementation of specifications, standards and testing protocols. Carl is also USAP's primary liaison with the manufacturers and independent certification lab on all testing matters and oversees and manages the organization’s equipment compliance department. He previously worked in industrial and systems engineering with Battelle Memorial Institute, as well as in professional racquet sports (including field product development).
