On June 26-27, 2021, over 300-disc golfers will compete at the 2021 Kayak Point Open. The disc golf tournament will be held at the Kayak Point Disc Golf Resort in Stanwood, Washington. The participants will travel from across Washington State to compete in this year’s Professional Disc Golf Association sanctioned singles tournament.

The 2021 Kayak Point Open is the 5th event of the PackEx Cup. The PackEx Cup is a series of 10 events being held throughout the Puget Sound. The tournament offers a Pro, Amateur, and Junior Division. Over 100 Pros are scheduled to compete at the tournament.

“The Kayak Point Open is the largest disc golf event in the state of Washington,” states Anthony Hawley, Tournament Director. “We have some of the best players in our region competing in the two-day tournament.”

“The sport of disc golf has become popular due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The sport offers an opportunity for people to be outside and recreate,” states Tammy Dunn, Executive Director of the Snohomish County Sports Commission. “Kayak Point Disc Golf Resort is a “gem” for disc golfers. We look forward to everyone playing in the tournament.”

Kayak Point Disc Golf Resort has two full-size 18-hole courses, Red Course and Gold Course, which are mostly on the old golf fairways and an 18-hole pitch & putt course. Two additional full-size 18-hole courses, Blue Course and Gold Course, are being developed which the courses will mostly  be in the woods. The Red Course is geared toward the Beginner player with the plays on mostly open fairways. The Gold Course is a Pro level course with longer distances and some wooded shots.
