About Visit Lubbock

When Lubbock talks sports, it’s time to listen. With state-of-the-art venues, inviting weather and more than 5,300 hotel rooms, the “Hub City” is the ideal spot to hold every event from marital arts and football to gymnastics and volleyball. The Lubbock Sports Team understands the precision and fine details it takes to plan and implement a successful tournament or sporting event.

One of Lubbock’s most inviting qualities is the ease of transportation. It’s a mere 15-minute drive to any sporting facility citywide from each of Lubbock’s hotels, providing teams with more time on the field and less time on the road. Lubbock is also home to the only four diamond hotel in West Texas, the Overton Hotel & Conference Center, which offers more than 300 upscale rooms and plenty of extra space for meetings off the field. Other hotels in the city add up to more than 5,300 rooms, ensuring that teams have a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

Home to Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University, the “Hub City” has a variety of world-class facilities just miles apart.
