
The Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), an affiliate of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to announce that the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America World Expo will be held in Abilene, July 15-18, 2026, and June 17-19, 2027.
The Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America, a nonprofit organization with over 3,800 active adult and junior members, is dedicated to promoting the Texas Longhorn breed and supporting education, youth and scientific research. Alongside its subsidiaries, Texas Longhorn Trails Magazine, Texas Longhorn Breeders of Tomorrow (TLBT), and the Texas Longhorn Breeders of America Foundation (TLBF), the TLBAA offers a wide range of programs and services for its members and customers.
“We are excited to welcome the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America World Expo to Abilene for two consecutive years,” said Robert Lopez, Vice President of the Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This event is a perfect fit for our community, celebrating a breed that is deeply rooted in Texas heritage while bringing meaningful economic impact to our local hotels, venues, and businesses.”
The Longhorn Breeders Association of America World Expo is anticipated to generate 255 hotel room nights with an estimated economic impact of $366,750 in 2026 and 261 hotel room nights with an estimated economic impact of $378,250 in 2027. Key events will be hosted by the Expo Center of Taylor County.
