The Erie region will welcome three sporting events this weekend, hosted by Keystone Bass Buddies, Erie Ultimate League Enterprises and Millcreek Legion Post #773 Baseball Club.

The Keystone Bass Buddies Circuit will return to Presque Isle State Park this Saturday, with anglers launching from West Pier Marina at 7 a.m. Fishing will continue throughout the day, with final check-in set for 3 p.m. at the marina. As many as 65 to 75 anglers from across Pennsylvania are expected to compete.

“Our circuit has been coming to Erie for over 30 years, and our anglers look forward to this event annually,” said Douglas Beck, event organizer of the Keystone Bass Buddies Circuit. “Anglers arrive several days before the event and take advantage of Erie’s hospitable lodging, dining and marina amenities before spending eight hours on the Lake or Bay.”

Erie Ultimate League Enterprises will host the 25th Don’t Give Up the Disc – Beach Ultimate on Beach 11 at Presque Isle State Park. The event will feature 16 teams from Illinois, Ohio, New York, Ontario, West Virginia and across Pennsylvania, each with 10 to 15 athletes. Pool play will begin on Saturday at 4 p.m., followed by the tournament’s annual layout competition. Bracket play will begin on Sunday at 9 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m.

Additionally, the 23rd Annual Millcreek Summer Sizzler Baseball Tournament (15U), hosted by the Millcreek Legion Post #773 Baseball Club, will be held this Friday through Sunday at the McDowell High School Hanlon Athletic Complex.

Tournament play begins on Friday with games at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday’s schedule starts at 9 a.m., and runs throughout the day with the final matchup scheduled for 4:40 p.m. On Sunday, the consolation game will be at 9 a.m., followed by the championship game at 11:30 a.m.

The Millcreek Summer Sizzler series will continue in August at the David Long Complex, beginning with the 11/12U tournament from Aug. 1–3, followed by the 11/10U tournament from Aug. 8–10.

The Jesse Triana Memorial Tournament is also taking place this Saturday and Sunday at the Denny Lowes Memorial Complex, hosted by North East Little League. Each team will play a minimum of three games.
