Rocky Mount, North Carolina, is located in Nash County and has long been known as a vital sports destination for North Carolina and the surrounding region. This 143-acre multi-use facility is conveniently located off I-95 and US 64, midway between Miami and New York. About the Area
Rocky Mount is set along the beautiful Tar River and offers a wide variety of enjoyable things to do. There are also hiking trails, a water park and public golf courses. The Rocky Mount Sports Complex
A division of the City of Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation Department, the Sports Complex is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service to the citizens of Rocky Mount and surrounding regions; by providing quality facilities, exceptional staff and a professional level of maintenance. Located just off Highway 64, four miles from Interstate 95, the 143-acre multi-use facility offers an assortment of recreational programming options.

The Complex, completed in the fall of 2006, includes six youth baseball fields, four interchangeable baseball/softball fields, one championship baseball field, eight soccer/football fields, a professional disc golf course, two outdoor basketball courts, outdoor volleyball courts, picnic shelters and a walking trail. The complex hosts local Parks and Recreation leagues, as well as, a full slate of regional, state and national sporting events.

The Sports Complex includes an Athletic Football Stadium, which hostthe North Carolina Wesleyan College Battling Bishopsandthe Down East Viking Classic each year. The Rocky Mount Event Center
Rocky Mount Event Center is the premier sports tourism, events, and entertainment destination in North Carolina. Rocky Mount has long been a player in the travel sports marketplace, hosting more than 100,000 players and visitors annually at its outdoor sports complex since 2006. Now we are excited to provide a new platform for hosting not only sports, but everything from trade shows to music, entertainment, conventions, weddings, graduations and much, much more. 

The 165,000 square foot, multi-use facility is configurable for many different sporting events, in an arena that holds over 4,000 spectators. The Event Center’s 75,000 square feet of court space can accommodate almost any need. The facility also has four locker rooms, team meeting rooms, full concessions and a two-sided observation deck.

The Event Center also features a family entertainment center called Gameday Adventure and Arcade, a 15,000-square-foot area that includes themed rock climbing, an aerial ropes course, a soft play area for young children, an arcade and a concession area. For those families traveling out of town for a tournament, the center will provide entertainment for siblings who are not participating and give teams activities while they’re waiting for their next round.
