Our beautiful downtown district features over 40 restaurants, cafes and breweries, all within walking distance of one another. Eat your way through downtown at unique establishments such as Native Fine Diner, Cucinella’s Pizzeria or the Barstool’s Best Bar 3x National Champions, Sup Dogs, and try their creative hotdog and hamburger selection.
The Greenville area has multiple beautiful parks, which are accessible year-round due to our neutral climate. Our two largest parks, River Park North and the new Wildwood Park, follow along the Tar River, allowing the perfect opportunity to enjoy hiking, birding and paddling to cool off on a hot day with Riverside Recreation. Take a walk down our 10-mile Greenville Greenway, part of the East Coast Greenway System, which connects many of our parks, or play disc golf on one of the multiple courses throughout Pitt County. Just a stroll away from the heart of downtown lies the Greenville Town Common and Greenville Toyota Amphitheater, a 20-acre green space that boasts breathtaking views of the Tar River, connection to miles of Greenville Greenway System trails, and an inclusive playground. The Greenville Toyota Amphitheater hosts numerous community events and celebrations year-round, as well as free live music weekly throughout the summer.
Find plenty of opportunities to enjoy riveting spectator sports! This town loves friendly competition, and has at least one sport in any season. Throughout the year, cheer on the ECU Pirates, our local university with a fanbase that bleeds purple and gold, especially during baseball and football seasons. In the spring and summer, cheer on the Greenville United Bucks, our National Premier Soccer League team, or the Greenville Yard Gnomes, the most recent wood-bat team to join the Coastal Plain League. We also host visiting tournaments throughout the year, including the Little League Softball World Series in August. Since 2021, Greenville has been the proud home of the Little League Softball World Series at Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park hosting teams and visitors from around the world.
