Most major Southeastern metropolitan areas are within a day’s drive of Greenville, centrally located in Eastern NC, and easily accessible from I-587 and I-95. Served by American Airlines, Greenville’s Pitt-Greenville Airport (PGV) has daily direct connections to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) and is less than 100 miles from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in Raleigh, both served by most major airlines.

 

Partnerships with East Carolina University, the Greenville Recreation & Parks Department, and the Greenville Convention Center Campus allow us to host events at state-of-the-art DI fields and facilities, utilize Greenville’s 25+ parks and recreation facilities, access 91,000 square feet of flexible indoor event spaces and more.

Venue Spotlight: Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park

Centrally located in Greenville is Elm Street Park, a beautiful park with a lighted and fully accessible baseball field, 6 lighted tennis and pickleball courts, accessible playgrounds, locker rooms and more. Elm Street Park has the ability to accommodate 1,000 spectators and features a lawn games area for games such as shuffleboard or bocce ball. Our featured venue within Elm Street Park is Stallings Stadium. This stadium has seen teams from places such as Puerto Rico, Italy, Canada, and The Philippines as the host of the Little League Softball World Series since 2021. Elm Street Park is the perfect location for any baseball, softball, pickleball, or tennis tournament!


 

During downtime, make sure to explore the area! There are so many things to do in Greenville-Pitt County. The Greenville area has multiple beautiful parks, which are accessible year-round due to our neutral climate. Our two largest parks, River Park North and the new Wildwood Park follow along the Tar River, allowing the perfect opportunity to enjoy hiking, birding, and paddling to cool off on a hot day with Riverside Recreation. Take a walk down our 9-mile Greenville Greenway, part of the East Coast Greenway System, which connects many of our parks, or play disc golf on one of the multiple courses throughout Pitt County.

 

Our Uptown District is home to beautiful art, educational opportunities, a booming culinary scene, and more! For arts, visit the Greenville Museum of Art and Emerge Gallery and Art Center, or explore and find all of our murals scattered throughout the area. Learn about the surrounding natural resources by visiting the NC Museum of Natural Sciences Greenville campus. Finally, eat your way through Uptown with unique establishments such as Native Fine Diner, Cucinella’s Pizzeria, or the Barstool’s Best Bar 3x National Champions, Sup Dogs, and try their creative hotdog and hamburger selection.

 

Find plenty of opportunities to enjoy riveting spectator sports! As home of the East Carolina University Pirates at, boasting an incredibly vibrant and intense home-field atmosphere year-round. Our newest local team is the Greenville United Football Club, part of the National Premier Soccer League, beginning play in Summer 2023. Greenville will also soon be home to a new Coastal Plain League team, this collegiate summer baseball league will bring additional hype to our summer sports scene!

 

Additionally, Greenville-Pitt County has many annual festivals and events that locals and visitors look forward to attending each year. One favorite local festival is Piratefest, held in April which celebrates our local pirate culture and history. In the summer months, we have a weekly free Sunday in the Park Summer Concert Series, as well as many other free music events at Town Common.
