Mobile Sports Authority is bringing the spring with a full roster of sports.

2023 Serve It Up With Love Tennis Tournament (17th Annual)

Mobile Tennis Center

April 3 & April 5

 

The Serve It Up With Love Tennis Tournament is the largest USTA-sanctioned charity tennis tournament in Alabama. Men's, women's, and junior categories will be featured during this two-day tournament.

 

Tournament schedule:

 

Mixed Doubles - Sunday, April 3 at 2:00 pm

Al Fuchs Memorial Junior Championship - Sunday, April 3 at 2:00 pm

Women's - Tuesday, April 5 at 9:00 am and 6:00 pm

Men's - Tuesday, April 5 at 6:00 pm



Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the Mobile Child Advocacy Center. The mission of the Child Advocacy Center is to act as a community response to the problem of child abuse with the goal of providing a wide range of services in one central location for sexually and/or physically abused children and their non-offending family members to help facilitate their healing process.

 

2023 Gulf South Conference Men's & Women's Golf Championships

April 16 - 18

 

The Mobile Sports Authority is proud to bring this three-day collegiate golf tournament to Mobile. Eleven (11) men's teams and nine (9) women's teams will compete for the Conference Title on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Course at the beautiful Magnolia Grove Golf Club.  

 

The GSC (NCAA Division II) is composed of 14 member schools (AL, FL, GA, MS, and TN) and sponsors 17 sports with 16 championship events annually.



Tournament play begins daily at 7:30 am.

 

2023 USA Gymnastics Trampoline & Tumbling Region 5 Championships

April 21 - 23

 

Don't miss this high-flying competition at the Mobile Civic Center in April! This year, 520 gymnasts from nine southeastern states in 41 clubs will compete in the USA Gymnastics Trampoline & Tumbling Region 5 Championship, a USA Gymnastics-sanctioned event. The three-day competition is a qualifying event for the USA Gymnastics National Championships in Tulsa, OK and the Jr. Olympic National Championships in Palm Beach, FL. The event is also preparation for the Elite Challenge, the World Championships Trials, and the Pan American Championships. New for 2023, there will be a "State All Stars" competition where gymnasts will compete to be named the first-ever State All Stars Champion.

 

Several of the featured athletes in this year's competition have already reached the Olympic level of competition! Aliaksei Shostak is a 2020 Olympian, World Silver Medalist, World Cup Champion, and USA National Champion. Nicole Ahsinger is a 2016 and a 2020 Olympian, World Silver Medalist, World Cup Champion, and USA National Champion. Sarah Webster is an alternate for the 2020 Olympic Games, World Silver Medalist, World Cup Champion, and USA National Champion.

 

The championship meet will begin Friday, April 21 at 8 am and continue through Saturday, April 22, and conclude mid-afternoon on Sunday, April 23. Admission will be $20 for a day pass and $50 for a weekend pass. 

 

2023 AHSAA AL State Tennis Championship Tournament

April 24 - 28

 

This Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) championship tournament will feature qualified schools from all over the state competing for their respective class state championships.

 

Event Schedule:

 

April 24-25: Class 1A-3A, 6A

 

April 27-28: Class 4A-5A, 7A

 

2023 USA Volleyball Gulf Coast Region Championship

Mobile Convention Center/Mobile Civic Center/Expo Hall

April 28 - 30

 

This tournament marks the 26th year of the USA Volleyball Gulf Coast Regional Championship. More than 200 teams from coastal Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle will compete in this two-day regional championship to earn a bid to the USA Junior Volleyball National Championships.

 

Grassroots play is April 28 at the Mobile Convention Center and begins at 5:40 pm.

 

Gulf Coast Region Championship is April 29 - 30 at the Mobile Convention Center, Mobile Civic Center, and Expo Hall. Doors open daily at 7 am.

Admission is $10 per day or $15 for a weekend pass for all spectators 12 & older (free for anyone 11 & under).

Parking is $10 per day at both the Mobile Convention Center and the Mobile Civic Center/Expo Hall.
