Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!®
Betty Bauman founded “Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!®,” utilizing her prior marketing skills from experience at Donzi, Wellcraft and Aquasport to create an organization whose mission is to recruit, retain and reactivate anglers. This has empowered her to bring the sport of fishing to more than 9,000 women in 26 years from all over the world through her award-winning seminars.
Often dubbed “The No-Yelling School of Fishing,” Bauman and Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing have been renowned nationally and honored with awards such as The Top Women in American Boating by BoatU.S. Magazine, Woman of the Year in the nation’s sportfishing industry by the American Sportfishing Association, Top 21 Most Influential Marine Industry Leaders in the 21st Century by Boating Industry Magazine and more.
Bauman established partnerships with agencies and corporations to enhance the viability of the organization and acquire equipment needed for education and fundraisers. She created the nonprofit 501C3 Ladies Let’s Go Fishing Foundation. Corporate sponsors realized the value of this marketing opportunity as well as the chance to promote conservation ethics.
“Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” offers a complete fishing experience presented in a non-intimidating environment with many events spanning an entire weekend. Leading professionals teach classes and provide hands-on training in inshore, offshore, bottom, freshwater and conservation fishing techniques depending on the venue. Skill station hands-on practice is typically offered and a fishing excursion is available by boat or land, complete with fish fillet instructions. Events are held in meeting facilities at Florida’s west coast, east coast and Keys. Some venues offer an informal fishing tournament with prizes and most offer networking events. Other states include Colorado and International trips have been offered in The Bahamas, Alaska and Costa Rica.
“Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” has earned rave reviews from national print and electronic media including “Inside Edition,” CBS’ “The Early Show,” NBC’s “Nightly News with Tom Brokaw,” “Good Morning America,” “Outdoor Life Network,” USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Southern Living and many fishing, boating and news publications.
Bauman is also a book and magazine publisher as well as a marine marketing consultant. More information on Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing is available at www.ladiesletsgofishing.com
