Get Your BID On: NAIA’s Outdoor Track & Field National Championships

Want to host one of the oldest and most respected sports on earth? The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is looking for a host for its 2026 and 2027 Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. Here’s all the information you need:

Date of Events: May 20-22, 2026; May 26-28, 2027

Week Days: Wednesday through Friday

Number of Teams: 110 Men's, 110 Women's

Who’s Traveling? 1,300 participants and 3,000 fans

Rights Fee: $10,000.00 (Minimum)

Deadline: June 1, 2024

Facility Needs: The NAIA has stated that any potential host venue should have the following.

  • 8- or 9-lane flat track with appropriate surface
  • High jump area
  • Horizontal runway and pit
  • Pole vault runway and landing pit
  • Throwing area with protective cage
  • Javelin runway and landing area
  • PA system
  • Finish Lynx timing system and electronic scoreboard
  • Award and committee staging area
  • Locker rooms
  • Training room
  • Press box
  • Seating outside the track for over 3500 spectators and athletes

NAIA Track & Field Championship RFPHotel Needs: Centralized properties that can accommodate meetings and banquet for 1,300 people; additional specifications are as follows:

  • Average length of stay per participant is four (4) nights.
  • Room Block Needed: 750 rooms on peak, plus rooms for teams and traveling officials
  • Room Rate: The price range is $99-$135, regardless of room occupancy
  • Hotel Pre-Registration: Participants will be responsible for making reservations and paying for rooms directly with the hotel
