World’s Leading Obstacle Racing Company Announces Reebok Spartan Sprint at Citi Field on Saturday, May 9th

Reebok Spartan Race, the world’s premier obstacle race company, announced that they will host a Reebok Spartan Sprint at Citi Field in Queens, NY on Saturday, May 9th, the third annual competition at this world class stadium.  One of Spartan’s most popular stadium races, others include Fenway Park, Citizen's Bank Park, AT&T Park, and Miller Park.

Obstacle racing’s ultimate test of endurance and strength, this Spartan Sprint will feature 3+ miles and over 20 obstacles located all throughout the open-air park. Die-hard baseball fans will have trouble not stopping to stare as they run through the bleachers and outfield, traversing walls, and experiencing the ballpark like never before!  With five races across NY/NJ this year, Citi Field is the only stadium race in one of Spartan Races best markets.

"Citi Field is a world-class venue for a number of reasons, and we have once again transformed it into a challenging terrain that will offer our athletes an exciting course against which to test themselves,” says Joe De Sena, Reebok Spartan Race CEO and Co-Founder. "We are excited that Citi Field is supporting our race series and the sport of Obstacle Racing as we rip our fans from the greater New York and New Jersey area off their couches to see what they’re capable of achieving.”

Adult heats will begin between 7:30 and 8:00am on Saturday May 9th with final heats beginning between 5:15 and 6:30pm that evening.
