USOC Announces Summer Championship Series

The United States Olympic Committee announced the schedule for the 2018 Team USA Summer Champions Series, presented by Xfinity, including national championships in beach volleyball, diving, swimming, and track and field. The Team USA Champions Series features both a summer and winter season, showcasing elite U.S. athletes as they compete year-round.

The 2018 Team USA Summer Champions Series, presented by Xfinity begins television coverage on May 12 with beach volleyball on NBCSN and continues throughout the summer. The four Olympic sports will highlight Team USA athletes’ progression toward the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

The winners of the Bridgestone USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships will be named to the Collegiate Beach National Team that will compete at the 2018 FISU World University Championships, while divers at the USA Diving National Championships will be seeking a place on the 2018 FINA World Cup Team. The USATF Outdoor Championships will crown national titles and serve as the qualifier for several track and field squads competing around the globe this summer, and swimmers competing at the Phillips 66 National Championships will be vying for a roster spot at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships.
