You want to be healthy, and we want you to stay healthy. So we’re sending you this note to let you know what we’re doing in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

We’ve always had comprehensive cleaning protocols. Every gaming station and every piece of equipment at our Localhost facilities is wiped down after use. Now, we’re cleaning all of our surfaces more frequently. Our staff will be diligently cleaning equipment before doors open each morning, wiping down equipment after every use and in between matches during tournaments, and thoroughly cleaning equipment at the end of each day. We recommend that competitors bring their own keyboards, controllers, headsets, and other peripherals.

Localhost facilities in Denver and Philadelphia will remain operating under regular business hours for the time being, and we will be capping our capacity at 200 patrons per recommendations from the CDC. Localhost Wells Fargo Center will be following the procedures set in place by the Wells Fargo Center building, the NBA, and NHL. Localhost Huntington Beach events will be moved to online-only through April.

Our team is actively monitoring the situation and will communicate any facility closures via email, the localhost.gg website, and all social media channels.

We have made changes to our existing events schedule to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. If any registered competitor is uncomfortable traveling or competing in person, please contact accounting@nerdstgamers.com for a "no questions asked" refund.

The following changes have been made to our existing events schedule. If an event is not listed below, it will be taking place as originally planned:

  • March 21-22 Smashdown Major in Denver: This event is now capped at 150 competitors. We highly recommend bringing your own controller, and our staff will be thoroughly cleaning equipment before and after use.
  • March 21 Fortnite Minor in Denver: This event is being rescheduled for March 28th.
  • April 11-12 Cheeseadelphia (Starcraft II) Major in Philly: This tournament will now be an online-only Minor. More information on registration and prize pot will be coming soon.
  • April 17-19 Rainbow Six Siege Major in Philly: This tournament will now be an online-only Minor. More information on registration on prize pot will be coming soon.
  • April 18-19 CS:GO Major in Huntington Beach: This tournament will now be an online-only Minor. More information on registration on prize pot will be coming soon.

Additional event changes will be communicated via email as well as on our website and social media channels.

We’re also asking our community to help us in our efforts of keeping our staff and customers safe. The CDC recommends washing your hands frequently and avoiding unnecessary contact with those who are coughing or sneezing. If you are not feeling well, please stay home and we'll see you at Localhost when you're feeling better!

Thank you for helping keep our community healthy and please contact questions@nerdstgamers.com if you have any questions.
