RFP Teed Up for LPGA Tour/AJGA Girls Championship

What’s up for bid? The 2024 Legends of the LPGA Tour / American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Girls Championship, that’s what. This is your chance to host not only top players but the female students of today who will be the women’s champions of tomorrow.

The event, held in June, hosts a total of 72 athletes, as well as coaches, family members and others. Curious? Here are the specs.

The AJGA is seeking host city for this unique event that will highlight women’s golf. The event draws 18 Legends of the LPGA Tour players and 54 AJGA top ranked junior girls. It marks the first time the AJGA and the LPGA Tour have partnered to showcase golf at all levels.

The RFP, which contains full information on expectations of destinations, and responsibilities of event owners, is available at this link and those interested are expected to read it thoroughly to acquaint themselves with this excellent opportunity.

Dates of Event: Time of Year: June 3-6, 2024.

Deadline for Proposals: June 1, 2023

AJGA and LPGA golf tournament RFPVenue Requirements: 18-hole championship caliber golf course; the organizers request that this facility be donated for the course of the event to help benefit golf. In return, the LPGA/AJGA will host several food and beverage functions.

AJGA and the LPGA Tour also offer multiple promotional opportunities for host communities, including local and national media exposure, extensive online promotion, an integrated social media program and increase visibility in the golf community.

Hotel Requirements: Membership typically stays in host hotel recommended by AJGA. Ideally, a 3-star or higher property. Competitive hotel rate to others in the market will see the highest pickup.

Room Nights: Roughly 200-300 throughout the week of event.
