Fishing Rivalry on Display at Challenge Cup

The long-standing New Jersey vs. Maryland competition between Cape May Marlin & Tuna Club and Ocean City, Maryland, Marlin Club, heats up once again at the 5th Annual Challenge Cup, to be held September 13 - September 14 in Ocean City, Maryland.

Registration is held Thursday, September 12, 2013, 7:00 p.m. with the Captain’s Meeting at 8:00 p.m.

Fishing Days are September 13 & 14. Other activities include Italian Night on September 13, 6:30-9:00 p.m. , and the Awards Banquet on September 14, 6:30-9:00 p.m.

Anglers may leave the dock at any hour but all fishing must be within 100 miles from Ocean City, Maryland Sea Buoy. All boats must leave from and return to the dock where the tournament is taking place (Ocean City, Maryland) unless fishing the first day out of Cape May.

There are no weigh-ins for this tournament, which is strictly a catch-and-release event. Each club may field an unlimited number of boats for its respective team. Each boat must be a member of the club it represents or be subject to disqualification. Captains and mates are eligible for prizes and may be anglers.
