Ripken Baseball Teams up with Sheetz for Free Youth Baseball Clinics

Ripken Baseball®, the leader in youth sports events, announced they have partnered with Sheetz to bring 12 free baseball clinics to children ages 7 to 14 in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Starting April 10 and continuing through June 1, the “Sheetz Community Clinics presented by Ripken Baseball” will teach the fundamentals of baseball for players of all levels.

 

The 3-hour clinics will include the following markets and dates:

 

  • Monday, April 10 at 5 p.m. – York, PA

           Memorial Park, 630 East Rockdale Ave., York, PA

 

  • Monday, April 10 at 5 p.m. – Manassas, VA

           Signal Hill Park, 9300 Signal View Dr., Manassas Park, VA

 

  • Tuesday, April 11 at 5 p.m. – Frederick, MD

           Othello Park, 1091 A Jefferson Pike, Knoxville, MD

 

  • Tuesday, April 11 at 5 p.m. - Richmond, VA

           Horace Edwards Baseball Field, 608 S. Harrison Street, Richmond, VA

 

  • Wednesday, April 12 at 5 p.m. – Hagerstown, MD

           Hagerstown Fairground Softball Fields, 421 N. Cleveland Ave., Hagerstown, MD

 

  • Thursday, April 13 at 5 p.m. – Pittsburgh, PA

Players can expect to work on fielding, hitting, and throwing with Ripken Baseball instructors. Participants will receive a Sheetz treat, fruit, and a giveaway.

 

“The families in our communities had a blast last year with Ripken Baseball,” said Nick Ruffner, Public Relations Manager for Sheetz. “Our goal was to turn this community project into an annual initiative, and we’re thrilled to bring the clinics back to kids across six states this spring.”
