The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has published its Baseball5 Toolkit in five languages, including Albanian, Arabic, English, German and Spanish, in a push to further introduce the sport to new regions and territories, and increase participation numbers, particularly in schools.

The five-on-five version of the sport has seen explosive growth since its launch by the WBSC in 2017 and will make its debut in the Youth Olympic Games in 2026, while the inaugural Baseball5 World Cup will be celebrated later this year.

"Due to the impressive growth numbers of this new and youth-oriented discipline, we have been forced to produce Baseball5 development materials to keep up with this expansion and newly generated interest in the game," said WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari.

The Albanian, Arabic, English and German toolkits can be downloaded for free via the Baseball5 microsite in English, under the Resources and Games Rules section, while the Spanish (Tarjetas de ejercicio Baseball5) toolkit can be found within the same section of the Baseball5 microsite in Spanish.

The toolkit is a 61-page publication introducing Baseball5 as a new discipline and as a physical education tool. It includes guidance to starting the activity, setting up a Baseball5 field and playing games.

Exercise cards and complementary documents are available from pages 35 to 58.

The Official Baseball5 Rulebook is available for download in English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean and Chinese on their respective microsites. The rulebook in Arabic is available on the English microsite.
