Waupaca Boatride Volleyball Tournament


Tom Galecke

Tom Galecke is the founder of the Waupaca Boatride Volleyball Tournament (WBR). After its inception in 1983, it is now the world’s largest volleyball tournament. WBR assists with grass, beach, and indoor tournaments in eight states and also conducts grass volleyball leagues in several cities. WBR also operates a nonprofit group through Grass Hopper Sports whose goal is to allow all kids access to sports clinics, clubs, and leagues. Galecke is also a member of the Fox Valley (CVB) Sports Commission.
