Big things might be coming to young athletes in the town of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

An article in the Journal Sentinel noted a local baseball and softball complex was being considered for a major overhaul.

Town officials are eyeing a massive addition to the 31-acre Infinity Fields baseball and softball complex..

According to the article, Five Diamonds Inc., which owns the site at W234 S3555 Les Paul Parkway, is requesting that the town board amend the complex's site plan and plan of operation to make way for a 42, 840-square-foot indoor sports training facility.

Tom Kelenic, a co-owner of Five Diamonds, said the facility would be operated by NX Level, which runs a sports performance training center for all ages, including professional athletes, at W229 N1687 Westwood Drive in Pewaukee.

Kelenic is also looking to add a multi-use field on the property and a parking lot to accommodate the new building.

With the additions, two baseball diamonds in the southeast corner of the site would be removed, according to documents submitted to the town of Waukesha Plan Commission and Town Board.

According to those documents, construction on the new facility could start in March and be finished by October.

The proposed floor plan provided to the town shows that the indoor facility would include a turf zone training area, a sand pit, a cardio section, a weight area, a basketball and volleyball area, and a physical therapy section.
