For the first time, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Youth Football Seattle Northwest Regionals will be held in Snohomish County, Washington, over Thanksgiving weekend, November 23-25, 2018. Over 25 youth football teams from Washington and Oregon will play over the three days at Archbishop Murphy High School, Henry M. Jackson High School, and Tulalip Youth Center Field.
The age divisions include 8U through 12U and 14U. Games begin Friday, Nov. 23, in the afternoon, continue all day Saturday, Nov. 24th starting at 9 am, and the championship games played on Sunday, Nov. 25th. At the conclusion of the Northwest Regionals, four teams are directly invited to play in the Pro Football Hall of Fame World Youth Championships held in Canton, Ohio, December 14-16, 2018. Additional seven other division-winner teams receive the opportunity to go to Canton, Ohio.
Tulalip Hawks 12U, Stanwood Spartans 11U, and Stanwood Spartans 14U are three Snohomish County teams that will play in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Youth Football Northwest Regionals. Other teams which will be playing in the regionals are the Bellingham Knights 12U.
“Last year, 2017, I read that two Snohomish County youth football teams traveled to Santa Rosa, California to play in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Youth Regional Championships. I researched the event to find out if there was an opportunity for Snohomish County to host a regional championships.” stated Tammy Dunn, Sports Development Director of the Snohomish County Sports Commission. “A year later, we are hosting the first Pro Football Hall of Fame Youth Football Northwest Regionals. We are excited for the opportunity to host so that these youth football players may be invited to play at the Pro Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.”
The World Youth Football League Team Championship is the first of its kind by showcasing teams from leagues in a team bracket style tournament. The Championship begins with 12 Regionals across the United States, where the teams start playing bracket games. Each team is playing for the opportunity to win and make it to the Championship Weekend which will be hosted at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Legacy Global Sports has created a youth platform that showcases the talent and skills of Youth League Teams from around the United States.
