The first American Cornhole Organization (ACO) Major in the Pacific Northwest Conference is coming February 8-9, 2019 at the Everett Soccer Arena. The ACO Everett Major will be the first-time the American Cornhole Organization has held a competition in the Puget Sound Region. ACO Players from Southern California, North Carolina, Nevada, Idaho and Washington, including Lake Stevens and Mill Creek, will be competing in the competition.

The event offers the following divisions: Blind Draw, Juniors (17 years and younger), Women, Seniors (55 years and older), Coed Doubles, Singles, and Doubles. Individuals may register for the World Silver Ticket which includes 1 singles entry + ½ Doubles entry. Individuals may register at www.americancornhole.com/aco-majors/. Competition starts at 2 pm on Friday, February 8th with the doors opening at 11 am. Schedule on Saturday begins at 10 am with the World Singles competition.

The ACO Everett Major is open to the general public with free admission. There will be activities throughout the weekend including $5 Luck of the Draw Challenges. Walk-up registration available for Blind Draw, Juniors, Women, Seniors and Coed Doubles play.

ACO competitions are similar to playing horseshoes. The games use wooden boxes rather than the stakes. The goal is to toss the bag into the round hole on the board.

“The American Cornhole Organization is excited to bring the first ACO Major event in the Pacific Northwest Conference.” states Frank Geers, American Cornhole Organization Director. “This year’s Major is the stepping stone to building future ACO events in Snohomish County, Washington.”

“The opportunity to bring another unique sporting event to Snohomish County is very exciting. Cornhole is a popular family and friends’ event so to have American Cornhole Organization host their first-ever Major at Everett Soccer Dome gives us the ability to promote the sport to the Pacific Northwest.” states Tammy Dunn, Sports Development Director of the Snohomish County Sports Commission. “We welcome the general public to attend the event and give cornhole a try.”
