As U.S. Soccer continues to bolster its Extended National Team’s Program, the organization will be staging a Men's Beach Soccer National Team Touchpoint Training Camp in Virginia Beach, VA for the first time from June 6-9, 2022, preceding the start of the North American Sand Soccer Championships (NASSC), the world's largest beach soccer event.   Led by head coach Francis Farberoff, the Touchpoint Training Camp is part of a new type of camp introduced to the U.S. Soccer's Extended National Team's program this year and will take place in the days leading up to the 28th Ferguson North American Sand Soccer Championships.  "Holding a Touchpoint Training Camp right before NASSC is a great opportunity to identify talented players that can represent our national team in the future," notes Farberoff.

Matt Whalen, NASSC's Director of the U.S. Open, the tournament's flagship professional division adds, "Our U.S. Open has always been an amazing opportunity to grow the sport of beach soccer in the U.S. Since this division's inception nearly 20 years ago, we attract not just the top talent domestically, but internationally as well.  The National Team Staff for both the men's and women's programs continues to identify our next generation of beach soccer stars right here in Virginia Beach - and we absolutely love that NASSC is helping push our country forward."

These camps are designed to increase the number of domestic national team programs staged around the country, and usually involve a shortened four-day training window with a roster of approximately 10 national team players who are joined by select, invitation-only identification players from all across the country.
