NASSC Coming to Virginia Beach Next Summer

The Ferguson North American Sand Soccer Championships return to Virginia Beach from June 11-13, 2021 for the best soccer reunion ever.

With heavy and disappointed hearts, we announce that we will be cancelling the 2020 Ferguson North American Sand Soccer Championships. Like many of you, we were eager to “return to normal” and celebrate the best week of the year with our family, friends and teammates. Thank you to the 550+ teams that registered and believed in NASSC’s ability to provide a family friendly and safe environment among the pandemic. 

Why are we cancelling:

• To keep you, our staff, our volunteers, our partners and our community healthy and safe! 
• Virginia is seeing a spike in COVID cases and the requirements to have a safe and sanitized event pose too many logistical challenges for us to host an enjoyable event. 

The next steps:

• Team registration fees - will be 100% refunded. We have to do each refund manually, so please be patient with us as this may take up to 2 weeks to process every individual team refund.  Refunds will be issued to the original payment method received (credit card/check).  
• Hotel Reservations - your hotel reservation will automatically be cancelled on Friday, July 10. If you wish to keep your hotel reservation and make a family vacation to Virginia Beach. Please click this link for more information about the hotel cancellation plan and/or to lock in the discounted oceanfront rates for what would have been our sand soccer weekend. 
• 2021 NASSC - our hotel system is live and ready to take your reservations for 2021 NASSC slated for June 11-13, 2021. Please click here to book your 2021 NASSC hotel room. Our Stay-to-Play policy will be in effect for 2021.

Thank you for supporting our local homegrown sand soccer tournament that funds the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex (a 24-field soccer complex in Virginia Beach). This event is the catalyst for soccer in Virginia Beach and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to host 26 consecutive North American Sand Soccer Championships with you.
