USA Volleyball is proud to announce that the Dallas Sports Commission and the City of Dallas will host the 2016 USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships (BJNC) at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. The event is scheduled to take place June 29-July 6, 2016.

The BJNC attracts 400-plus teams and 4,500-plus athletes. The event will have Open Division titles in each age group from 14 to 18, while offering club titles for each age from 12 to 18. Not only is this a tournament to portray talent from all over the country, it is also a chance for college recruiters to find potential players for their programs.

Dallas has served a tremendous host city partner of many past USA Volleyball events. The BJNC was previously held in Dallas in 1998, while the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships has previously been at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas in 1998 and 2008. In addition, the USA Volleyball Open National Championships have been in Dallas four times (1960, 1996, 2002 and 2011). Dallas was also the site for a FIVB World League weekend in 2012 showcasing the U.S. Men’s National Team against Italy, France and Korea.

“The City of Dallas has been a great destination for USA Volleyball to stage its top national and international events, and we expect no different for the 2016 USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships,” USA Volleyball Senior Director Tom Pingel said. “The city provides a wonderful atmosphere for athletes to compete in, while building a quality experience off the court for family and friends to enjoy in the downtown area while not at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas.”

“We are very happy to host USA Volleyball for the 2016 Boys’ Junior National Championships,” said Monica Paul, executive director of the Dallas Sports Commission. “We have a great tradition of volleyball events here in Dallas and we look forward to welcoming the athletes and their families to our great city.”
