Abilene to Host the Texan Barrel Race in 2025

The Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), an affiliate of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to announce that Group W Productions will host the annual Texan Barrel Race in Abilene, October 13 - 19, 2025.

The Texan Barrel Race is a premier event for barrel racing that paid out over $1.2 million in 2024. Dedicated to fostering a love of horses and barrel racing, the Texan Barrel Race will attract 1,700 attendees for a week of competition, payouts and saddles.

The 2025 Race is anticipated to generate approximately 515 hotel room nights and an estimated $11,900,00 in economic impact for local businesses. Key events will be hosted in the Taylor Telecom Arena at the Expo Center of Taylor County. This race will mark Group W Productions third annual Texan Barrel Race in Abilene.
