Abilene to Host the State Lineman Challenge

The Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), an affiliate of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to announce that the State Lineman Challenge will be held in Abilene, June 21, 2025.

The State Lineman Challenge is dedicated to cultivating sportsmanship, strength and teamwork through a series of rigorous athletic challenges. High school athletes from across Texas come together to represent their schools, test their grit, and compete in a high-energy, supportive environment. Designed for both seasoned players and rising talent, the State Lineman Challenge provides a dynamic platform for growth, camaraderie, and friendly competition.

The 2025 State Lineman Challenge is anticipated to generate approximately 320 hotel room nights and an estimated $196,200 in economic impact for local businesses. Key events will be hosted at HSU’s Shelton Stadium.
