Visit Johnson City has been selected to host three USA Softball National Championships in 2026. The 10-under, 12-under, and 16-under Girls’ Class ‘A’ Fastpitch Nationals will take place July 20-26, 2026 at Winged Deer Park. These tournaments were awarded to Visit Johnson City following voting by USA Softball Commissioners at the USA Softball Annual Council Meeting in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 29th. This will mark the first time that Johnson City has hosted three National Championships simultaneously.
Johnson City has hosted USA Softball tournaments for over 30 years, with each tournament leaving a substantial economic impact on the community. Visit Johnson City hosted the Girls’ 12-under and 16-under National Championships in July of 2024, yielding an economic impact of over $1.6 million and local tax collection of over $60,000.
As a result of hosting a successful 2024 Nationals, Johnson City was awarded another James Farrell Award of Excellence by USA Softball. This award recognizes the highest rated cities by coaches and tournament staff, and is a testament to Johnson City’s world-class hospitality and state-of-the-art softball facilities. In 2025, Visit Johnson City will host the 14-under and 18-under Nationals, expected to have a similar economic impact to the Nationals in 2024.
