An anonymous donor has created Farm and Forge, a 118-acre sports facility in College Grove, Tennessee, south of Nashville. It is expected to be a training hub for high-level athletes as well as underserved athletes.
Designed by Northworks and built by J.E. Dunn, Farm and Forge’s scope is significant. It includes:
- A tennis campus consisting of 18 courts, 12 indoor and six clay. Outdoor courts feature the latest scoring tech and Musco lighting.
- A full-sized outdoor football field with NFL combine-style sprint lines, artificial turf training hills, elevating filming platforms and hydration and recovery zones.
- And the two-story Strength, Performance and Recovery Center (SPARC), an 82,000-square-foot training and recovery hub featuring a 70-yard turf field, a four-lane track, a college-level fitness center with 16 weight racks, an inclined turf hill, recovery and hydration areas, Farm and Forge’s offices and a second-level co-working space with a juice bar and golf simulator.
The project will have a staff of 50 people, including coaches, building operations and facility administration.
