US Quidditch is proud to announce that the 2015 USQ World Cup will be coming to Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C. on April 11-12, 2015.  Announced on July 1, 2014, Rock Hill, SC won the rights to host this World Championship event keeping it in South Carolina for another year.

This year three cities advanced to the finalist round for the World Cup event: Rock Hill, S.C.; North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and Austin, Texas.

Rock Hill hosted a great South Regional Championship last season despite historic inclement weather, and its World Cup bid was distinguished by robust financial and logistical support, as well as more affordable flights through Charlotte Douglas International Airport, a 25-minute drive from Manchester Meadows, the field complex.

The 2015 World Cup VIII will feature 80 teams and over 1680 players for this two day event with thousands of spectators expected to attend, the estimated economic impact will be around $1 million dollars injected to Rock Hill and all of York County.  This just the latest World Championship event that Rock Hill has been awarded, all within two weeks time.  Rock Hill also won the rights to host the 2017 BMX World Championships, (click link for more info), which is slated for July 26-30, 2017.
