Close to 290 College Fishing Teams Set to Compete at CrushCity Hartwell Slam presented by Sufix

This upcoming weekend, the Association of Collegiate Anglers will contest the CrushCity Hartwell Slam presented by Sufix. The Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series offers four major college fishing events that feature no-entry-fees, are nationally televised and streamed events.  This event is hosted by Visit Anderson in Anderson, SC on Lake Hartwell.

 

Close to 290 of college fishing’s most elite teams will be on-hand to compete for over $20,000 in prizes and contingencies. 23 of the current Top 25 ranked teams in the nation are registered to compete at Lake Hartwell.

 

“Our entire team at the Association of Collegiate Anglers is proud of our relationship with the team at Anderson, SC who along with our industry partners ensures the ACA can continue our tradition of not charging an entry fee or membership fee for these collegiate anglers competing,” stated Wade Middleton, the Director of ACA.  “We’ll feed these kids, showcase them on a variety of media platforms, offer a lot of prizes and they’ll be treated to first class treatment by all the staff that helps to make these events one of a kind”.

 

The playing field for the ACA’s final double points event of the 2025-26 season is Lake Hartwell. Located in Anderson, SC, the fishery has played host to many prestigious professional and collegiate events. Official takeoff and weigh-in will occur at Green Pond Landing.  Read the ACA’s lake preview article.
