2017 BMX World Championships to be in Rock Hill, South Carolina

The City of Rock Hill’s Novant Health BMX Supercross Track has been chosen as the site of the 2017 BMX World Championships by Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The UCI BMX World Championships are held annually to crown a BMX Cycling World Champion, with the event being last held in the United States in 2001.

  • The competition days will occur from July 26-30, 2017. Official training (practice) will occur on July 24-25, 2017.

  • The event in Rock Hill is expected to bring an estimated 3,000 amateur participants and an estimated 300 professional athletes from over 40 countries.

  • Participants and families who attend the event from all over the world will stay an average of 10 days in the host city.
