Visit Beaver County has become the 14th member of PA Sports, the statewide organization charged with attracting and supporting economy-boosting sporting events in Pennsylvania.

Visit Beaver County joins other sports tourism organizations from across the Commonwealth, including the Butler County Sports Commission, Chester County CVB, Discover Lehigh Valley, Erie Sports Commission, Hershey Harrisburg Sports & Events Authority, PHL Sports, SportsPittsburgh, Sport York, The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, Valley Forge Sports, Visit Johnstown, Visit Luzerne County and VM Sports.

“We are excited to welcome Visit Beaver County to PA Sports,” said Mark Jeanneret, chair of PA Sports and executive director of the Erie Sports Commission. “The addition of Beaver County will allow us to extend the reach of PA Sports to another part of our state as we continue to work together supporting great events that have a positive impact on the Commonwealth.”

Beaver County offers versatile facilities to accommodate basketball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, football, gymnastics, motorsports, and more including: the 38,000 sq. ft. 3,000 seat multi-purpose arena named the Dome at the Community College of Beaver County; Wright Fields at Veterans Park, a multi-purpose field complex offering six grass fields and one lighted turf field, press box, and a new field house equipped with locker rooms, a meeting room, and public restrooms; the Pittsburgh International Race Complex, featuring a 2.78 miles track, six-acre skidpad, one garage, fueling stations, timing and scoring building, prop shop, event center, 0.8-mile karting track, and on-site camping areas; and numerous state-of-the-art facilities at Geneva College to accommodate track and field, basketball, volleyball, soccer, football, softball and more.

The mission of Pennsylvania Sports is to attract and host international, national, regional and local sporting events, and showcase Pennsylvania as a viable sports event destination for professional, collegiate, interscholastic, amateur, and youth sporting ventures, which will foster economic development, and enrich
the quality of life in the Commonwealth, making it a better place to visit,
live, work, and play.
