The Miracle League of Southwestern PA (MLSWPA) announces the start of their 14th season with opening day taking place on Saturday, May 28 at 9:00am at the Pirates Charities Miracle League Field at Graham Park. Since 2009, the MLSWPA has welcomed hundreds of players and volunteers to their field to provide children and adults with special needs and abilities the opportunity to participate in America’s pastime. The specially designed field is made of a synthetic surface that allows children and adults who depend on wheelchairs, crutches and walkers to safely navigate the field without risk of possible injury due to ruts or uneven surfaces.

In 2022, the Miracle League is excited to welcome over 175 players and 150 volunteers back to the field for the first full season after an abbreviated season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Miracle League of Southwestern PA provides a special place for children (ages of 5 and 18) and adults to have fun.

The MLSWPA is a charitable organization that is dedicated to providing children and adults with special needs the opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league. In addition to providing the opportunity to play organized baseball, the League provides these children with an opportunity to develop critically important socialization skills that have proven to be highly valuable in their long-term psychological development.
