Collegiate Hockey Federation (www.chfhockey.net) is pleased to announce its inaugural season will culminate with the Federation Cup, taking place March 10 – 15 in the Philadelphia area at Ice Line Quad Rinks which is located in West Chester, PA.

“Ice Line Quad Rinks offers a state-of-the-art facility to host our inaugural national tournament that is in an ideal location for our member teams”, stated Jon LaRochester who is the CHF Director of Hockey Operations. The opportunity to host a national tournament in one facility that is right in the center of its major conference distribution on the east coast was a key factor in the decision. Ice Line partnered with the Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau to offer a creative and compelling proposal to the CHF. “Ice Line and the CCCVB presented us with a really compelling opportunity to partner together for our inaugural national tournament and are as excited as we are to put on a showcase for our members”, offered CHF Chairman Mark Purowitz.

The Federation Cup will be a 32-team tournament, starting with pool play and culminating with a weekend of playoff hockey. The CHF has taken a fresh approach to the national tournament by having it take place over the course of a week at the same facility rather than spread out over various weekends of regionals which also drives up the cost for participating schools.

John Graves, President of Ice Line, noted that “the CHF is doing something really exciting for its member programs and we are very proud to partner with them to host its inaugural Federation Cup. We are working together with CHF leadership to enable some amazing experiences for the Fed Cup participants”.

The CHF is also working with the Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau (CCCVB) to create some great experiences for the Federation Cup participants, families and fans. Travis Geiser, CCCVB Sports & Events Sales Manager, commented “The Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau is thrilled to be the host destination for the inaugural Federation Cup! Our staff and hotel partners look forward to working closely with the leadership of CHF and Ice Line over the next few months to create a unique experience for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome
