Want to bring a field sport to town? Mazeppa Road Park has everything you need. Whether athletes are moving a soccer ball toward the goal, getting close to the crease in lacrosse, playing the growing sport of flag football or batting home runs in baseball or softball, this venue is primed and ready to host.

Mazeppa Road Park provides a prime experience for visiting teams and our staff can personalize the facility for your event’s needs. The multi-purpose fields have lights, concessions, restrooms and 374 parking spaces. Our diamonds really shine too. One regulation baseball field offers a 60-foot 6-inch dirt pitching mound and 90-foot bases; our three softball fields have 300-foot fences and can be temporarily fenced for 200 feet and 250 feet, as well as 50-foot to 60-foot, or 60-foot to 70-foot bases. Here, too, you’ll find fully lighted fields with concessions and an additional 228 parking spaces. It’s a big league experience your athletes will enjoy and reminisce on for years to come. (Oh, and if you need more fields, just down the road is Cornelius Road Park with more multi-purpose fields, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts and a disc golf course.)

For those whose tastes run to an adrenaline rush that comes from an unparalleled single-track experience, Mazeppa Road Park has a six-mile mountain bike trail with sweeping turns and berms and even a couple of rock gardens that will appeal to all skill levels.

And did someone say TENNIS? We have that too. The Lake Norman Tennis Center is a state-of-the-art venue. Located on 10 acres, it offers a heated indoor facility with five Plexicushion® hard courts, as well as an outdoor facility with six sub-irrigated HarTru® clay courts, three hard courts and six pickleball courts. Amenities include stadium lighting, an 11,000-square-foot clubhouse with a pro shop, an elevated viewing area, fitness and agility training room as well as a conference room and classroom, locker rooms with showers. (And again, Mooresville has two additional tennis facilities – Edgemoor Park and Cornelius Road Park, both ready to provide even more court space, should you need it).

And when you’re talking about Mooresville, you need to talk about Lake Norman! North Carolina’s largest man-made lake has hosted competitive fishing action for years as well as regattas and wakeboard events.  But Lake Norman is also a great way to have fun and enjoy the great outdoors!  Rent kayaks, SUPs or enjoy 30 miles of mountain biking or hiking at Lake Norman State Park.  Rent a boat or jet ski to explore the lake at a faster pace!
