An exciting new youth track and field event will hit the calendar in 2025, hosted by Coach O, a leader in track and field event management, registration and marketing operations, and it is expected to feature club teams and athletes from across North America.

The Coach O Track and Field National Championships, scheduled to be held at J.M. Robinson High School from July 23-26, 2025, will bring together club programs from the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, and will be held at a new-state-of-the-art track and field facility in Concord, North Carolina, in conjunction with the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

“I am very excited to announce the addition of the Coach O Track & Field National Championships to the youth calendar,” said Charles Oliver, the founder of Coach O. “This collaboration with the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau will allow us to host a positive and competitive opportunity for athletes nationally, as well as internationally.

“This meet will feature several of the stellar athletes that are members of the Coach O Ambassador program and will join several other competitions that have been scheduled by Coach O Event Management, such as The Clemson High School Indoor Invitational, and meets hosted at the Tryon International Indoor Track Facility and the Ansin Sports Complex.”

The track and field facility at J.M. Robinson High School features a MONDO Super X track and field surface, which has been tested as the most durable competition-track system in the world. MONDO is the global leader in track and field surfaces, with over 1,100 installed across the world, including facilities which have hosted NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III Championships, along with youth and senior championships.

“We’re honored that Cabarrus County has been selected as the host destination for the Coach O Track and Field National Championships in July,” said Donna Carpenter, President and CEO of the Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The J.M. Robinson Mondo Track & Field Facility is a unique venue and combines with the area’s outstanding offerings and hospitality to create an unmatched experience for attendees. We look forward to welcoming the athletes and their families, event organizers, and everyone who will be visiting for the event this summer.”

The facility includes an eight-lane, 400-meter track and the stadium has a seating capacity of 3,750, offering restrooms, concessions, Wi-Fi, parking, and a field house and a large area to host team tents. Cabarrus County, located just 30 minutes northeast of Charlotte, North Carolina, has more than 30 hotels in the region and more than 200 places to eat, including local restaurants and national favorites.
