Charlotte to Host 2020 Duke's Mayo Bowl

The Charlotte Sports Foundation (CSF) announced that the 19th Annual Duke’s Mayo Bowl will take place on Wednesday, December 30th at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The game, set for a noon kickoff, will feature for the first time a matchup of the Atlantic Coast Conference against the Big Ten Conference. It will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. Ticket information will be announced at a later date.

This is the first year with Carolinas-founded Duke’s Mayonnaise as the title sponsor. The partnership with Duke’s Mayonnaise, a staple in southern recipes for over 100 years, was announced this past June.

The Duke’s Mayo Bowl has welcomed 942,565 fans to Charlotte since its inception, The game has reached over 55 million television households and produced an economic impact of over $280 million to the city and the surrounding region.

“We are very excited to announce the kickoff for the 2020 Duke’s Mayo Bowl will be on December 30th,” said Danny Morrison, Duke’s Mayo Bowl Executive Director. “Our tradition of showcasing the city of Charlotte to the teams, conferences and college football fans is important to the community. The thought of playing bowl games, even playing a college football season, was something very difficult to envision several months ago. And now, we will celebrate a new partnership with Duke’s Mayonnaise and have the first appearance by the Big Ten in Charlotte. This game will be a great opportunity to end the year on a positive note for Charlotte.”
