The USAT Long Course Nationals hosted by the TOUGHMAN Triathlon has announced Nassau Annuity as the event’s swim partner. This new sponsorship sits alongside the return of Morgan Stanley and Morgan Franklin as sponsors for this year’s race weekend.
Taking place on September 24-25, 2022, at the scenic location of Lake Welch in Harriman State Park, Stony Point NY, employees of all three sponsor corporations will be competing in the event’s Corporate Division.
The organizing team reported that last year’s race weekend saw 1,450 athletes participate in all eight events. This year’s return of the USAT Long Course National Championship will have a half iron triathlon, half iron duathlon and half iron aquabike.
US athletes will be competing for spots on Team USA, in order to race in Ibiza, Spain, and Zofingen, Switzerland, at the World Championships in 2023.
Event director Richard Izzo said, “I am honored to be picked by USAT to host this event again and expect over 3000 athletes to race.”
Phil Gass, CEO of Nassau Annuity, added “This is a great event that we are delighted to support. As a triathlete myself, I am also excited to compete along with other members of the Nassau team.”
A sprint triathlon, Olympic triathlon and aquabike as well as the 14th annual TOUGHKids triathlon will also be taking place on race weekend.
