FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX is once again giving motorsport fans the chance to move from the grandstands to the track as race marshal applications open for the 2026 event, which will take over the Las Vegas Strip November 19-21.
In collaboration with U.S. Race Management (USRM), the Las Vegas Grand Prix will continue to support the Locals’ Marshal Program for a third consecutive year. First launched in Las Vegas and since adopted by other Formula 1® events in the United States, the pioneering initiative expands access for local residents interested in becoming marshals by offering pre-race training and certification opportunities through USRM. Applications are now open and will close on Monday, June 1.
Interested experienced marshals may apply here.
Las Vegas-area residents interested in the USRM program may register for more information here.
“The interest in marshal roles has continued to build year over year, drawing more than 3,000 applications in 2025, including 1,252 through the Locals’ Marshal Program,” said Silvia Bellot, Vice President of Sporting & Race Operations at Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. “We’ve also seen strong returning engagement from experienced marshals applying who previously served at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. These individuals play an essential role during race weekend, and we plan to continue creating pathways for fans to experience Formula 1 in a hands-on way here in Las Vegas.”
2026 Locals’ Marshal Program with USRM
The 2026 Locals’ Marshal Program will consist of informational sessions by USRM covering F1® basics; roles and responsibilities; flagging and communication procedures; track and fire safety and vehicle recovery exercises. Southern Nevada residents without marshaling experience may register to receive more information on these informational sessions here. Those who complete the session may be eligible to be engaged as a marshal.
Interested individuals must attend one USRM informational session date at Grand Prix Plaza:
- Saturday, September 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, September 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
