North Country Region Volleyball Area Championships Scheduled

Over 8,300 Volleyball Players Are Set to Compete Within Nine Different Cities Throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota for the NCR Area Championships
Over 825 junior girls’ volleyball teams will be competing within nine different cities across Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota for the NCR Area Championships. Play begins Saturday, April 26, at 8:00 AM with age divisions 12 -14s participating. On Sunday, April 27, age divisions15-18’s teams will be competing. Participating cities include: Bemidji, Duluth, Fargo/Moorhead, Huron, SD, Jamestown, ND, Marshall/Redwood Falls, Rochester and St. Cloud. This will be the 12th year for the Area Championships in this current format. In 2002, there were only 260 teams competing within six cities. This year there will be over 825 teams playing throughout nine different cities. Girls ages 12 – 18 will be participating in the tournament. The event is free to all spectators.

Saturday, April 26th
12s: Mississippi Heights Elementary and Sauk Rapids Rice Middle School,
13/14s: Whitney Rec Center, Stride Academy Elementary and Sauk Rapids Rice Middle School
Sunday, April 27th
15s: Whitney Rec Center
16s: Whitney Rec Center and Stride Academy Elementary
17s: Sauk Rapids Rice Middle School
